My little car project

FOR SALE

443-617-7915

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX

Modification List

Latest update:  As of November 2009 the car has been sitting on jack stands in my back yard. Around end of October, I’m not sure what happened. Driving around selling alarms all day did something to the drive train. I didn’t even look to find the problem. Had radio on all day, got a phone call, turned down the radio and I heard this horrible sound coming from the bell housing/transmission area. Don’t know how long it made this noise on that day; radio was up drowning out the noise. I drove it home, no loss of power, all gears worked, I parked it, and there it sits. During our big snow storm we had 2009/2010 winter my carport fell apart denting the hood, ripping the drivers mirror off and denting the passenger fender. I didn’t care about it, let it sit. The carport’s door flapped in the breeze dulling the paint on the hatchback. I waxed this area and it looked new again. But as soon as wax wore off it was dull again. Needs to be professionally buffed in that area for shine to stay. The drivers mirror is a clean break, (just plastic) looks like I can glue it back together and you would never know. Bring jumper cables drive it home if you want. Haven’t started it since that day, battery dead. Car is untagged.

New motor installed June 28, 2003 JDM Subaru Impreza STI RA long block.  I was told this is the strongest motor that Subaru makes.  Has forged pistons and rods, sodium filled valves, larger cams and an awesome head porting job.

AVCS hooked up finally in June 2004 a whole year later, think it's working no MIL.  Car painted looking great.

Window Sticker

The Sticker that was on my WRX showing options and price.

Rear View

This is what everyone sees the most!

My Garage

Had to make a garage some how with all the rain we have been getting. This set up works just ok, using a sheet of plywood for the floor.

Engine out

Pulling the motor out waiting for the replacement to come in the mail.

Piston

This was the worst damaged piston. The cylinder walls are still perfect.

Valves Bent

This is what happens when your timing belt breaks at 7,000 RPM's. Also pistons are damaged from valves. Even one of the camshafts cracked. Timing belt cover all busted from the cam gear breaking.

Fun

I am having fun doing this believe it or not. I always wanted too do this, just never really had too.

New Motor

This is how I got it

Numbers

Numbers on the window are from Capital Raceway October 3, 2003 when I ran a12.8 @ 104

Time Slip OLD

The time slip from Capital Raceway on there Friday night Test-and-Tune. This time slip is OLD, more then a year. I am expected to be into the 11's according to the WRX comunity.

Getting fixed

Whole car getting painted Velocity Red. Awsome color I saw on the new 2004 Mazda RX8. Had to have a lot of dent and smashes repaired.
